Donors

Make a Difference

Individual donors are playing an increasingly important role in the Foundation's fundraising success. Toigo donors share in the belief that every person—regardless of race or economic background—should have the opportunity to build a career as a finance professional. They believe, as Toigo's Founder Sue Toigo believes, that with greater diversity "we can ensure that a two-tiered economic system does not emerge in this nation."

Gifts from individual donors may be made as one-time donations, or multi-year gifts. The Foundation accepts gifts of cash and liquid stock.

Leave a Legacy. Make a Difference.

In anticipation of its 20th anniversary, the Foundation launched a Toigo Legacy campaign in June 2007. The effort comes at a critical and strategic point in the Foundation's development-a time that warrants increased financial sustainability in order to impact the finance industry in an even greater way.

Toigo's growth and accomplishments over the past 20 years is evidence of the exponential impact that is possible as we move forward to the year 2020, a milestone when we envision that thousands of minority professionals working in every sector of finance will hold the distinction of Toigo Fellow. This growth will bring us closer to our mission of building a critical mass of talented, experienced, diverse leadership--and truly changing the face of finance

Our campaign goal is to secure a total of 20 Legacy donors by June 2009-individuals willing to make multi-year financial commitments to the continued growth and expansion of our work and mission.

The minimum contribution for the Legacy campaign is $100,000 over 5 years (larger gifts are payable over 10 years). All donors of the Legacy Campaign will be honored at the 2009 Gala celebration of the Foundation's 20th year in Los Angeles.

Planned Giving

The Foundation encourages the support of individuals to consider Toigo as part of their planned giving outreach to non-profits. Planned giving opportunities range from gifts of cash and securities to life income gifts (such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts) and other sophisticated estate-planning vehicles (including gifts of life insurance policies) offering favorable financial and tax benefits to the donor.

Toigo encourages individuals interested in making a planned giving gift in support of the Foundation to contact their tax advisor as well as the Foundation for guidance.

For more information on levels of giving, please contact giving@toigofoundation.org.
