This is an entry-level position in our Emerging Markets Group, based in downtown Los Angeles. It is an ideal opportunity for college graduates (B.A., B.S.) looking for a comprehensive introduction to investment management in the Emerging Markets. The position is designed for a limited duration of up to two years after which the successful incumbent will most likely matriculate to graduate studies. This position will provide exposure to the disciplines of sovereign credit research, corporate credit research, portfolio analytics, marketing and client service, and will work closely with experienced sovereign and corporate credit analysts, portfolio managers, and client relations professionals.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong interest and academic achievement in the undergraduate fields of Macroeconomics, Finance, Statistics, Political Economy, and International Relations. Relevant experience in terms of summer internships or on-campus work/research experience pertaining to the aforementioned fields will be considered a plus.
In addition, the following qualifications are strongly preferred:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills (in the English language)
- Course-work in statistics, including a demonstrated ability to work with statistical software (examples requested)
- Economics (with macroeconomics concentration)
- Economics/Political Science double-major
- Political Science with upper division course-work in macroeconomics and statistics
- Statistics with upper division course-work in macroeconomics and/or political science
