Founded in 2007 and based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Global Endowment Management, LP ("GEM") invests a $10 billion fund with the primary goal of generating exceptional risk-adjusted real returns for our clients, who include sovereign wealth funds, endowments and foundations, family offices, and individuals. We pursue a value-oriented investment strategy across asset classes, investing either long or short and in both private and public markets, with a long-term time horizon. Our portfolio contains a mix of investments in traditional asset classes such as equities and fixed income as well as in alternative investments like hedge funds, private equity, real estate, natural resources, and commodities. In pursuing our investment strategy, we both partner with investment managers who are experts in niche fields and selectively invest directly in individual securities, businesses, and other assets.
