The Commercial Bank Training Specialist will lead the effort to build a Commercial Bank (Performance) Academy to amplify and evolve the strength of the current Commercial Bank staff.

In this role, the Specialist will develop and deliver engaging, measurable learning content focused on prioritized personas and core pillars to empower global employee growth and development across product, sales and business risk.

The ideal candidate is:

  • An experienced sales practitioner who can serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders within the Commercial Bank
  • Self-driven and passionate about understanding how to take business requirements and translate them into high value learning experiences
  • Highly collaborative, relishing in opportunities to work with multiple business and functional units to provide the best fit solution
  • Passionate about learning and deploying learning best practices, standards, innovations, materials, tools and/or processes to support the Commercial Bank’s strategic needs
  • Comfortable applying agile development methodologies to maintain iterative learning content that evolve with the needs and changes of a high growth organization

Essential Functions:

Performance Management

  • Drive the development, implementation, adoption, and management of the Commercial Bank roadmap in partnership with other learning focused internal organizations
  • Work with business leadership to prioritize and define strategic, onboarding and upskilling role-based initiatives
  • Measure, track, report on program effectiveness (NPS, Adoption, Confidence, Engagement, Performance)

Academy Development

  • Design and deliver a robust and scalable content platform to service all the Commercial Bank’s learning needs
  • Define and execute on the governance strategy within agile development methodologies to maintain a constant stream of iterative content that evolve with the needs of the Commercial Bank
  • Establish and maintain project timelines and deliverables

Training Delivery

  • Advise businesses on best in class mechanism to understanding strategic and upskilling learning opportunities to deliver functional training to Commercial Bank employees utilizing varied delivery approaches, including in person, virtual-instructor led, self-paced, and on the job coaching
  • Assess, develop and deploy functional onboarding content to engage and empower new employees effectively

 

Qualifications

 Knowledge:

  • Understands the process and impact of delivering a broadly focused program to the business
  • Knowledge of instructional design and/or adult learning principles and approaches
  • Knowledge of banking/ financial services a plus, but not required.

Skills:

  • Dynamic professional with outstanding written, presentation, and visual communication skills
  • Easily builds and maintains relationships with subject matter experts and key stakeholders
  • Experienced at establishing priorities and meeting swift deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment (experience with Agile methodologies a plus)
  • Able to execute on deliverables across a variety of different work streams
  • Able to incorporate blended learning strategies, including experiential learning, online learning, gaming, mobile applications and social collaboration into learning offerings
  • Grounded in data and comfortable using data to uncover opportunities, measure impact and drive decision making

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in functional based training, required
  • Direct sales and/or sales management experience, preferred but not required
  • Experience working in Banking/ Financial Services or Technology companies, preferred, not required

Certifications:

  • Certification in Adult Learning or Instructional Design, preferred but not required
  • Certification in Agile Methodologies or Design Thinking, preferred but not required
