ERP (Orion) Program Specialist
The ERP Program Specialist will help to coordinate key program management activities, inclusive of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and interdependency management, scope change management and performance reporting in support of the implementation and adoption of the ERP Program. The Enterprise Resource Planning Program (ERP Program) is part of a Federal Reserve System transition to integrated, enterprise-wide, cloud technology platforms for Financial Management, Human Capital Management, and Procurement activities. Implementing these systems, as part of a single program over the next 3 years will introduce significant change to the Financial Management, Human Resources, and Procurement functions, and impact many common processes used by all Reserve Bank employees.
Program Management Coordination
Serve as the central coordination point for management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for all ERP Program activities and actively engage with program and project teams to manage and report on progress of key milestones and interdependencies.
Lead project meetings with cross-functional program and project managers to ensure the accuracy and validity of the information retrieved from their project schedules, and ensure clear communication about program status, issues, and risks.
Ensures critical path activities are identified and accurate.
Develop standard reports from the high level schedule (HLS) to enable the ERP PMO leadership the ability to regularly review the schedules to identify and then resolve resource conflicts and scheduling issues.
Provide guidelines and procedures to assist the PMO with maintaining the IMS, HLS and various reports.
Actively engage with a third-party integrator (Implementation Consultant) to coordinate Program activities.
Responsible for tracking and analyzing defined program health metrics and integrating key data with defined status communications to ensure accurate and effective reflection of the overall program health and key trends.
Responsible for tracking and managing change requests, ensuring appropriate review and approval processes are followed.
Actively manage and maintain decision and benefit registers to ensure the program is meeting defined benefits as outlined in the program charter.
Prepare governance communications on status of all of the above, including collaborating with other members of the ERP PMO as necessary to obtain relevant financial and risk/issue information.
Ensure that key deliverables are executed on-time, and in a manner that meets stakeholder expectations.
Maintain expert professional knowledge of current research, technology, and best practices related to program management metrics.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in program/project/portfolio management, specifically managing an IMS and coordinating reporting and performance metric tracking for large scale transformations.
Excellent written, verbal, graphical, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including governance groups.
Keen analytical ability and strong knowledge of performance metric analysis and modeling.
Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques that include analyzing trends, benchmarking, and performance monitoring.
Strong organizational, planning, and self-management skills.
Demonstrated ability to not only focus on the details, but also see the high level strategic picture.
Independent thinking and decision-making ability.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with strong collaboration and consensus building skills.
Experience with geographically dispersed work teams highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of and experience with project portfolio management practices, methodologies and tools (Clarity, MSProject, SharePoint), Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) strongly desired.
A high level of proficiency with MS Office products, collaboration and communication tools.
Track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple project deliverables
Prior Federal Reserve System experience (preferred)
Knowledge of Reserve Bank financial management, human resources, and procurement processes (preferred)
Limited travel may be required
This position is currently funded for two years with the potential for extension possible, but not guaranteed.
