- Opportunity to work alongside David Giroux, portfolio manager of the strategy and former two-time Morningstar manager of the year, and his analyst team
- Capital Appreciation is a multi-asset class (equities, fixed income, covered calls) strategy managing over $70B (as of 12/31/22)

Role Summary
- Role provides fundamental fixed income research support for David Giroux, Capital Appreciation Fund portfolio manager, and his team
- Role is part of a highly collaborative team of 5 investment professionals
- Diverse responsibilities include portfolio monitoring and analysis, traveling to conferences and company headquarters to meet with management teams, listening to and writing up conference calls and sell side industry calls, company due diligence, and fixed income idea generation
- In this role you will develop an in depth understanding of the Capital Appreciation investment framework and process
- Opportunity to interact with public company CEOs and CFOs both in our offices and on the road
- Daily opportunity to work with and learn directly from our senior investment professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 1-2+ years relevant experience
- Highly motivated, confident self-starter with the ability to work independently and with others
- Fixed income research or investment banking experience preferred
- A record of strong academic achievement required
- Background and/or strong interest in finance preferred
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Sophisticated user of Microsoft Excel required, familiarity with FactSet and/or Bloomberg preferred
- Completion of at least Level 1 of the CFA preferred
