This is an Associate level position with Siguler Guff’s Small Buyout Team, a $5 billion platform investing in private equity funds and co-investments in the small and lower middle market. The individual will be primarily responsible for supporting the investment team in due diligence of new investments and in the overall management of the platform including monitoring existing investments.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Serve as integral member of the portfolio management and investment team;
• Work with senior investment team members to evaluate and source investment opportunities;
• Conducting due diligence on prospective fund and co-investment opportunities
• Develop transaction-specific financial models and investment memorandums to review, screen, and present new investment opportunities;
• Willing to travel domestically regularly as needed to evaluate investment opportunities and monitor existing investments;
• Interact with senior management teams during due diligence and on a post-transaction basis;
• Managing and monitoring existing fund investments, co-investments and manager relationships;
• Performing portfolio analytics and benchmarking;
• Preparing quarterly and annual internal and external reporting documents;
• Generating and sourcing investment ideas (including primary investments, co-investments, secondary investments);
• Creating marketing materials for fundraising and client updates, and;
• Develop network with peer professionals from the GP, LP and placement agent communities


2-3 years of relevant work experience, investment banking or private equity experience preferred.
Skills: This position requires a detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, self-starter with a passion for the investment business. In addition, the individual must have:
• Passion for and understanding of the private equity industry
• Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
• Significant modeling and accounting experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
• Superior work ethic
• Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
