Job Description:

The Senior Manager for the Practice Management (“PM”) Team will primarily focus on the practice management tools and resources, including two world class global studies, used to gather insights and gain a better understanding of Dimensional’s Global Client Group (“GCG”) clients. The Senior Manager will report directly to the Head of Practice Management. The position will be responsible for engaging with clients, business partners, and Dimensional leadership, ensuring continued success of these cornerstone studies while proactively enhancing the value-add for advisors and the internal sales teams.

To be successful, the Senior Manager must have superior data gathering, statistical analysis, and program development skills. A solid foundational knowledge of business strategy and practice management as it relates to the financial services industry is key. The Senior Manager must also have a strong client service orientation, understand the issues and challenges Advisors face in building a client-centric, fee-based business, and able to apply thought leadership to study and analysis findings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Anchored by the Dimensional philosophy and approach to business analytics, manage the process to develop, deploy, and analyze the data gathered through our studies and surveys

  • Analyze, interpret and effectively communicate proprietary benchmark and survey data to identify key findings and trends then formulate thought leadership based on the findings

  • Formulate and execute tailored Dimensional practice management initiatives designed to support the advisor community

  • Present practice management study and survey findings to GCG sales team, groups of advisors through study groups and conferences, and through one-on-one firm engagement

  • Be a team-player with a creative spirit within the Dimensional APM team and broadly

  • Regularly demonstrate leadership characteristics within the team and actively develop team members associated with the study work

  • Effectively and credibly communicate with advisors and their teams practice management concepts

  • Train the GCG sales team to effectively communicate and employ practice management studies and surveys with clients

  • Develop in-depth understanding of Dimensional’s GCG business, personnel, and clients

  • Be a spokesperson and champion of the Dimensional brand and investment theory throughout the industry and marketplace

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred

  • Must have 10+ years of experience years of experience in financial services with specific focus on statistical analysis, project planning and development, and product development

  • Exceptional data analytical abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build solid relationships

  • An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.

  • Team-oriented: ability to establish effective relationships, gain commitment and credibility and work effectively across internal constituencies

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Strong understanding and belief in Dimensional’s investment philosophy

  • Significant experience with data or business analysis

  • Demonstrates the ability to integrate research into the success of the business

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once

  • Ability to present Dimensional’s business strategy research to small and large groups.
